A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this issue can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without effort in case you’ve got a shared web hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet exceptionally user-friendly, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you will see a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it twice will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have a different one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this functionality will be to click that icon. In the very same fashion you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will notify you in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all address for a particular domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or change any feature automatically and without your approval.
