.NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain name extension is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained working.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special requirements on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the accurate spelling in your native language.
